Tablo Reveals Celebrities Were Among His Tajinyo Attackers: “People I Considered Friends”

Epik High’s Tablo has made a startling revelation that is sending shockwaves through the K-pop community.
In a recent YouTube video posted on Epik High’s official channel, the artist opened up about his painful past during the Tajinyo scandal, and disclosed that some celebrities were among those who spread or supported the false rumors.
Discussing the theme of relationships, Tablo said, “Most people probably don’t know this, but when the identities of those involved in the Tajinyo incident were uncovered, some of them were people I considered friends.”

He further revealed, “I just didn’t expose them publicly, but there were celebrities among them too.” Despite the betrayal, Tablo explained why he chose to stay silent: “It’s frustrating to see those people being loved by the public. But what’s even more frustrating is that if I name them or go after them, I’d become just like them.”
Even when fellow Epik High member DJ Tukutz asked him to share their initials, Tablo declined, saying, “You already know who they are. It’s not just one or two.”
The Tajinyo (short for “We Demand the Truth from Tablo”) controversy erupted in 2010 when online users falsely accused Tablo of fabricating his Stanford University degrees. Despite appearing in the MBC documentary “Tablo Goes to Stanford” and having his academic background legally verified by prosecutors, including transcripts, immigration records, and witness testimonies, Tablo endured severe public harassment.

Some of the instigators were later sentenced to prison for spreading false information, but Tablo’s emotional scars from that period remain. His recent confession has reignited public interest in the case and raised fresh questions about loyalty, celebrity culture, and the darker sides of the entertainment industry.
